Balanced representation on the Group of:
- Establishment Licence Holders’ nominees (from the establishments whose courses are accredited by the QA Group and who should not normally be directly involved in the provision of licensee training).
- Representatives of learned societies/professional bodies who have an interest in scientific procedures involving animals (e.g. the Anatomical Society, Physiological Society, British Psychological Society, Laboratory Animal Science Association).
- Representatives directly involved in the provision of related training programmes (e.g. Named Persons).

The QA Group Chair is appointed from the membership.

Observers from other accrediting bodies and a representative of the Home Office Animals in Science Research Unit (ASRU).
